Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026.

Savings Grove is operated by IntoPaid Acquisition Labs, PO Box 75025, Vancouver RPO Main Street, BC, V5X 4V7. Email mika@savingsgrove.com.

This policy explains what information Savings Grove collects, why we collect it, and who else may receive it when you read the site, use a calculator, sign up for the newsletter, or see an ad. It applies to savingsgrove.com and the Canada and UK versions of the same site.

We do not sell your name or email address. Advertising partners may still collect data on their own, through cookies, when an ad loads. Those partners are named below, with links to their policies.

Information you give us

We collect information only when you choose to send it:

Newsletter. The email address you submit. We store it as a customer record in Shopify so we can send the newsletter. The signup does not create a password or a login you can use to manage an account.
Email. If you write to mika@savingsgrove.com, we keep your address and the message so we can reply.

You can ask us to delete a newsletter address or an email you sent. Use the contact address above.

Information collected automatically

When you open a page, the site and its service providers receive technical data that browsers send with every request:

IP address and approximate location derived from it
browser type, device type, operating system, and language
the page you opened, the page you came from, and the time of the visit
cookie identifiers set by us or by the services listed below

We use that information to run the site, measure which guides are read, keep the cart working, and serve advertising. We do not use it to make a credit, lending, or insurance decision about you.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar tools include pixels and local storage. On Savings Grove they fall into three groups:

Necessary. Shopify uses these to load the storefront and remember a cart.
Measurement. Google Analytics uses these to count visits and see which pages people read.
Advertising. Google, PubGuru, Monumetric, and the advertisers they work with use these to show ads, measure them, and limit how often the same ad appears.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, ads, the newsletter check, and the cart may not work as intended. The advertising opt-out links below are a more precise control than blocking every cookie.

Shopify

Savings Grove is a Shopify storefront. Shopify hosts the published pages, processes requests to the site, stores newsletter email addresses we submit as customer records, and handles a cart if you add something. Shopify receives the technical data described above, and it sets its own cookies.

How Shopify handles that information is described in the Shopify Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are opened, how long a visit lasts, and whether someone arrived from a search engine or another site. Google Analytics may set cookies and receive the technical data listed above. We use it to improve the guides. We do not send Google the contents of a newsletter signup.

Google describes this collection in its Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising

Ads pay for the site. The ad services below may collect identifiers and technical data, and they may use cookies to recognize a browser across sites. That can include ads based on pages you have visited. You can turn off personalized ads without blocking the site.

Google AdSense. Google and advertisers bidding through AdSense may read and set cookies when an ad unit loads. See How Google uses cookies in advertising, the Google Privacy Policy, and Google Ad Center to control personalized ads.

PubGuru. PubGuru, a service of MonetizeMore, manages ad placements on the site and may collect data for ad delivery and measurement. See the MonetizeMore Privacy Policy.

This Site is affiliated with Monumetric (dba for The Blogger Network, LLC) for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site, and Monumetric will collect and use certain data for advertising purposes. To learn more about Monumetric’s data usage, click here: Publisher Advertising Privacy

You can also opt out of many interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative. Those opt-outs are stored in a cookie, so clearing cookies can turn them off.

Newsletter and hCaptcha

The signup form uses hCaptcha to block automated submissions. When you complete the check, hCaptcha receives technical information about your browser and the request, as described in the hCaptcha Privacy Policy. We receive only a pass or fail result, plus the email address you typed.

We use that email address to send the newsletter you requested. You can unsubscribe from a message, or email us and ask us to delete the address from Shopify.

Affiliate links and other sites

Some links are affiliate links, including links to Shopify and to card issuers, brokers, and other product providers. If you follow one and later buy or apply, we may earn a commission. We do not receive your account details from those companies.

After you leave Savings Grove, the other site’s privacy policy applies. We do not control those sites. Guides that mention a product are not a promise that the offer on the provider’s site is still the one we described.

How long we keep information

Newsletter addresses stay in Shopify until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Emails you send us are kept long enough to answer and to keep a record of the reply. Server and analytics logs are kept by the providers that collect them, under their own retention rules.

Your choices

You can:

stop newsletter mail with the unsubscribe link, or by emailing us
ask us what email address we hold for you, and ask us to correct or delete it
block cookies in your browser
opt out of Google Analytics and personalized ads with the links in the sections above

If you are in Canada, you may also ask about our use of your personal information under applicable privacy law. Send the request to mika@savingsgrove.com. We may need enough detail to find the record.

Where information is processed

IntoPaid Acquisition Labs is in British Columbia, Canada. Shopify, Google, hCaptcha, PubGuru, and Monumetric may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Their privacy policies describe those transfers.

Children

Savings Grove is written for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to mika@savingsgrove.com and we will delete it.

Security

We rely on Shopify to store newsletter records and on HTTPS when your browser talks to the site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that a transmission will never be intercepted.

Changes

We may update this policy when the site’s tools change. The new version applies when it is posted here, and the date at the top will change. A material change to how we use email addresses will be described on this page.
